Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bar Roulette ("we") is an app that draws well-rated bars near you and lets you share experiences with other users. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we process and why, in compliance with Brazil's data protection law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and the GDPR.

2. Data we collect

• Account: email and password. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, which stores your password in encrypted (hashed) form — we never store or have access to your password in plain text.
• Profile: name, username, phone (optional), bio, city and avatar photo — name, username, bio, city and photo are public in the app.
• Location (approximate and precise): used solely to find nearby bars and show groups around you. Sent to our server and to Google Maps Platform only at the moment of the search; it is not stored linked to your profile and is not sold.
• Public content you create: reviews (rating, text, photos), likes, follow relationships and group participation.
• Groups and chat: group messages are visible to members and automatically deleted ~2 hours after the group's meetup time.
• On your device: favorites, spin history and daily counters are stored locally (not on our servers).
• Premium subscription: subscription status processed by RevenueCat/Google Play Billing (we have no access to your card).
• Ads: free-plan users see Google AdMob ads, which may use the device's advertising ID. We ask for your consent where required (LGPD/GDPR). Premium subscribers see no ads.

The app also has private chat (1:1 messages between mutually-following users, visible only to both — with report and block options) and check-in (when you check in at a bar, your profile and the bar's location are visible to other users while active; it expires after 3h and you can leave anytime).

3. Who we share with

We do not sell your data. We use processors to operate the service:

• Supabase — authentication, database and photo storage;
• Google Maps Platform — bar search and geocoding;
• Google AdMob — ads (free plan);
• RevenueCat — subscription management.

4. Your rights

You can delete your account and all data (profile, reviews, likes, follows and messages) yourself, at any time, at barroulette.fun/excluir-conta. You may also request access, correction or portability by emailing BarRouletteofc@gmail.com (we respond within 15 days).

5. Security and retention

All traffic uses encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and passwords are securely hashed by Supabase Auth. We keep your data while your account exists; group content expires automatically as described above.

6. Age rating

Bar Roulette deals with bars and drinks and is intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version will always be on this page.
